Method Statement of measures and protocol for the control of spread of Covid-19.
Cambridge House Countryside Guest House, Reeth, North Yorkshire June 2020
Pre-arrival
Email or letter to inform you of the measures in place to control the transmission of Covid-19.
We will request an arrival time between
4.00pm – 6.00pm
and give you arrival procedures
We will include a brief health questionnaire relevant to coronavirus symptoms and ask if you have been in contact with a person showing symptoms within the last 14 days.
Pre-payment by BACS at least 48hrs prior to arrival to avoid use of a card machine.
Arrival
Guests should wait until invited to enter CH to maintain social distancing
Guests must use hand sanitiser on entry
Boots, walking and cycling gear to be kept in guests’ cars or if on foot, to be removed and kept in guest rooms. Muddy boots must be removed before entry.
Guests will be provided with instructions to find their room.
Guests to carry their own luggage
Registration forms will be in guests’ bedrooms if not done prior to arrival.
During your stay
Guests will be asked to maintain social distancing throughout their stay
Guests should use hand sanitiser on entry to CH, rooms and on exit and follow hand washing guidelines.
Use of conservatory and guest lounge will be restricted
Guest downstairs toilets, drying room and laundry facilities will be closed
Guest rooms will only be serviced for stays of 3 nights or longer and on request; a simple cleaning pack will be provided.
Extra pillows and blankets are available on request
PPE will be used to meet guests
There will be no bar or soft drinks available or use of guest fridge
Guests will be reminded not to make unnecessary contact with hard surfaces
All nonessential items e.g. books, leaflets, pens etc will be removed
Breakfast
Breakfast to be pre-ordered and served at a given time slot, room by room; order slips will be provided in guest rooms and posted in the box in the hall
A wipe clean table cloth and paper napkins will be provided
Table and chairs to be disinfected between each sitting and set at a different positon
Individual condiments will be provided
PPE will be used during breakfast service
Check-out
Check-out is by 10.00am
Guests to strip their beds and put linen and towels in the laundry bags provided
Guests to carry their own luggage
Any transactions not made by BACS can be processed by card at a safe distance; the machine will be disinfected between transactions
General
All areas to be regularly cleaned and disinfected throughout the day including all hard surfaces using BS EN 14476.
Guest rooms to be left vacant between stays where possible and then deep cleaned; carpets and curtains to be vacuumed and disinfected, hard surfaces to be disinfected.
All hard surfaces to be cleaned with BS EN 14776 disinfectant twice daily
Guest linen and towels to be laundered at 60C+ for recommended time
Guest toiletries will be removed, disinfected and left 72hours
Unused hospitality items will be destroyed and replaced with fresh ones for each guest
